The Housing Needs Survey has been compiled in partnership with the Borough Council of Wellingborough.
The Council has been the lead Authority in producing the Survey and analysing it. The report is produced by the Borough Council and has been designed to be a consistent framework for surveying housing needs in other local areas. Housing Needs Surveys should be updated every 5 years and the last time Earls Barton undertook a survey was 2006.
This survey will comprise part of the Neighbourhood Plan’s evidence base and it represents a robust assessment of the housing requirement for Earls Barton for the allocation of housing.

There should be development for much needed housing in Earls Barton a few hundred homes at a time. The best place for this kind of housing development would be down and along Station Road Earls Barton. This would take the traffic out and away from the centre of Earls Barton as the A4500 and A45 routes in to Earls Barton created enough trafic allong those roads.
In response to the comment by Jonas James. Development in Station Rd would not take traffic away from the A45 or A4500 since it is not a through road.It was downgraded in about 1980 when the A45 was built. Therefore all traffic would have to come up Station Rd & either through the village centre to the A45 or A4500 or up Dowthorpe Hill to the A45.
